Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

RTK Global Resources (RC No: 1840571) is a Nigerian retail and credit company located at No 20, Oluwakemi Zone, Olorunsogo, Amuloko Road, Ibadan, Nigeria. For any privacy question you can reach us at support@rtkglobal.shop.

2. Information we collect

• Account details: full name, email, phone number, and password (stored hashed).
• Identity and eligibility: date of birth, address, occupation, employer, monthly income, next of kin, uploaded ID and passport photo, signature.
• Loan and order data: products purchased, loan amount, repayment schedule, deposits, installments, referrals.
• Payment data: transaction references and status via Paystack. We do not store your full card number — Paystack tokenises it and returns an authorization code we use to charge future installments with your consent.
• Communications: SMS OTPs, support chat messages, emails and in-app notifications.
• Device and usage data: IP address, browser, pages visited, and basic analytics used to secure and improve the service.

3. How we use your information

• Verify your identity and eligibility for credit or installments.
• Process orders, disburse loans, collect repayments and reconcile payments.
• Send OTPs, receipts, reminders and service updates.
• Prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access.
• Meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
• Improve our products with anonymised analytics.

4. Legal basis

We process your data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), 2023 on the bases of: (a) performance of a contract with you; (b) your consent (for marketing and card tokenisation); (c) our legitimate interests in running the service and preventing fraud; and (d) compliance with legal obligations.

5. Sharing your data

We share the minimum data necessary with trusted processors:

• Paystack — card payments and installment charges.
• Twilio — SMS OTP delivery for account verification.
• Supabase — secure database, authentication and file storage.
• Email delivery — for transactional messages from notify.rtkglobal.shop.
• Law enforcement or regulators — only when compelled by law or to protect our rights and users.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Data retention

We keep account, loan and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for up to seven (7) years after closure to meet tax, accounting and credit-reporting obligations. Verification OTPs and temporary tokens are deleted shortly after use.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, row-level security on our database, admin email verification, SMS OTP for account activation, restricted staff access and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure — never share your password or OTP with anyone, including staff who ask.

8. Your rights

Under the NDPA you may request access to your data, correct inaccurate data, delete data we no longer need, restrict processing, object to marketing, or receive a copy of your data in a portable format. Email support@rtkglobal.shop and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (theme, saved login) and secure the session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

10. Children

Our services are for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
